Damn that’s super helpful! Definitely gonna purchase. Probably far too underrated feature. However this will work with the one addon I made myself (but only for myself), that automatically creates a pose asset only of the selected bones (basically creates and action stores it in the path of a asset library defined in Blender). And stores only that armature in a single file. I have no clue how to generate images though so this will actually improve my workflow.

I’m seriously baffled why we can’t render asset thumbnails using our render settings already. Should be a core feature IMO, but addon writers are here to save the day! I took a stab at writing this myself and discovered the Blender API sometimes makes me quite angry. Thank you for saving me!
